Ohiostatebetting.com has analyzed Google Trends search data for NFL-related queries in the past seven days and came to the conclusion that Steubenville OH was the most NFL-obsessed city in Ohio.

By using Google Trends, we researched the following five NFL-related topics: “NFL”, “NFL Odds“, “NFL Picks“, “NFL Predictions” and “NFL Schedule“. By summarizing the search from each query, the data concludes that Steubenville has the highest combined search score of these five topics.

This year, we’ve noticed a significant increase in online interest in the NFL across Ohio. We think that one of the reasons might be the future launch of sports betting in Ohio, which will take place on January 1st, 2023.

Cincinnati had the second highest score with its high score for the searches: “NFL”: 100, “NFL Picks”: 100 and “NFL Schedule” of 90. The overall searches were high in every phrase, which can be concluded that the citizens of Cincinnati are both interested in the NFL in general, and the betting side of the NFL.

Dayton ranked third with high and low scores for the different searches. The highest is 100 for “NFL Schedule,” then the scores decrease for the more betting-related topics, such as 57 points for “NFL Odds.”

Youngstown had the second-lowest score, with no score over 100. The highest score was for “NFL” with 96, and the lowest was 35 points for “NFL odds.” which was probably the reason for their low overall score.

Toledo seemed less interested in the betting-related search queries, which made them rank last in this study.
